Insurance Info

Insurance

We take BUPA, AXA PPP, AVIVA, STANDARD LIFE, CIGNA and WPA insurances, most with in network benefits. For those insurers for which we are out of network, Care & Cure can handle the billing process on your behalf. For those insurers for which we are out of network, Care & Cure can provide a super-bill to send to your insurance for your reimbursement.

INSURANCE TERMINOLOGY

When you schedule an initial Physical Therapy appointment at Care & Cure (and you wish to bill your treatments through your insurance), please provide your insurance plan information. Here are explanations of three important insurance terms that represent the portion of the medical bill that you are responsible for.

- Private Medical Insurance

Care & Cure will aim to invoice your insurers directly for payment. If you have private medical insurance please inform us when arranging your initial appointment. Please have your policy details to hand, as we will require the name of the company you are insured with, your policy number and an authorisation number before arranging your appointment. A referral from your GP may be required prior to an authorisation code being provided by your insurer. We will liaise directly with your insurer to enable Manchester Physio to invoice them directly. Where this not possible, Care & Cure will require payment directly from you and provide a receipt that you can use to claim the money back from your insurers. Some insurers may require a physiotherapy provider reference number prior to authorising treatment. If you require any provider details please feel free to contact us. Policies and procedures vary from insurer to insurer so if you have any queries please call your insurer for advice.

- Healthcare Cash Plans

Care & Cure are registered physiotherapy providers with all Healthcare Cash Plans. With Cash Plans a referral to physiotherapy from a Doctor is not usually required; you can make the referral yourself. Policies and procedures vary between Cash Plans. It is, therefore, advisable to read your policy details or contact your provider if you require more information regarding your plan. The usual process of payment is for you to pay for your treatment directly, and we provide receipts for you to claim back costs.

- Personal Injury Cases

Care & Cure frequently works with solicitors and case managers to provide physiotherapy treatment to injured individuals. If there is a current claim regarding your personal injury your solicitor / case manager will be able to refer you to Care & Cure Physio directly. Care & Cure Physio will invoice and liaise with your solicitor, case manager, or insurance company directly, leaving you to concentrate on your rehabilitation without worrying about any bills or costs incurred.

This allows patients to expedite treatment while saving money. Expedited treatment time helps reduce total injury time and allows you return to normal function faster. It saves you from having a costly doctor visit for a prescription prior to a physical therapy visit.
